Tyler Perry…the Storyteller!
After finishing the article on Tyler Perry in Essence this month, it prompted this observation, I had to share.
Everyone knows the story of Tyler’s rags to riches story, however the thing that is most amazing to me is that… through his movies, his plays, now his studio and the historic legacy he, himself, is carving out…He remains ‘Real’, He knows the LORD!
It is what he says in the interview, it is what he shares on his site. Unless he has fooled this… discerning spirit… the fame, the glory, the material things… has not polluted his foundation. There are several of our very famous Black leaders, entertainers, preachers, TV personalities that have been truly blessed beyond the imagination of most… and at some point they forget the giver.. and focus on the gifts!
Tyler mentioned Will Smith and himself discussing… things. On point, because if you meet either one of them… people say the same thing…”They seem sooo real”.

Im a huge Tyler Perry fan and hvae been looking for this magazine everywhere. Here in Detroit it will be on newsstands tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your insite on the article. The reason why I love Tyler os much, is because of the love he has for God. And he lets the world knows through his messages. I personally can’t wait to meet my brother.
