Sermon…”I’m Ready to Serve”

Made it back to church today…glad to be back in the house!  The sermon was entitled, “I’m Ready to Serve”.  The Bible text was from Ephesians Chapter 4, Verse 1-16.

The pastor opened with the song, ‘Oh, How I love Jesus’ and he told us how humbling it is that GOD chooses…me.. to work for HIM in ministry.  That GOD reminds him that he preaches, not because of how good he is, but because of GOD’s grace!  That same GOD calls…YOU.

Spiritual Gifts are given to us all, however your abilities and talents are not necessarily your gift.  Spiritual Gifts are consecrated for the purpose of building the Kingdom!  It doesn’t matter how successful you are, you will always be yearning for more and will never be fulfilled until you use it to further God’s Kingdom.

The ’3′ bullet points were:

  1. Consecration is non-negotiable.
Walk worthy of which you have been called.  When you present yourself as a living sacrifice, you must get yourself out of the way so GOD can get in the way.
  2. Your focus has got to be…on the Kingdom.
Most people can’t serve HIM because of their motives…”What’s in it for me?”
  3. Our AIM has got to be to Love GOD…Love Others.
Your aim has to be to get closer to GOD daily.  It is impossible to love GOD… and hate others!

Noone has ever seen GOD with the naked eye and yet we say we have seen HIM.  It is not with your naked eye.  GOD makes himself known…through people….through children…through YOU.

Why did GOD…gift you?

Bless Ya.
